Thanks to Tony Rues for this recipe for Strawberry Tossed Salad that Carolyn and Shirley had it last weeks Rush Co News. Tony made this for the McCracken Pool fundraiser meeting.
Strawberry Tossed Salad1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp paprika
1/8 tsp pepper
6 cups torn mixed greens
2 1/2 cups sliced strawberries
1 cup shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 cup chopped toasted walnuts
Mix the first 7 ingredients in a jar with lid and shake well to make the dressing.
Toss remaining ingredients with dressing.
