This recipe came from Susanna Miller in Reno, Nevada. She says she really likes this one even though she has an aversion to strong drink!!!! Seems to me it would work for the holidays or better yet --- Super Bowl Sunday!
Hot Cheese Fondue
1 (12 oz) can beer
1 pound block Velveeta brand cheese
1 (12 oz ) can Italian style stewed tomatoes
2 small cans Ortega brand diced chilies of choice
1 clove of garlic, minced
Pour beer into slow cooker or double boiler. Add block of cheese; cover and simmer until cheese begins to melt. Add remaining ingredients. Stir continually until cheese melts completely. Transfer to fondue pot to keep warm and melted. Serve with fresh vegetables, cron chips, cubed sourdough bread. Enjoy!
