Have you noticed the wonderful cool weather. Fall is here or at least just around the corner. One of the recipes that one of you so generously sent to me had some poetry quoted about the fall. These recipes came from Wisconsin via New York. One of the recipes was Apple Dumplings; another was pumpkin bars. You always think about apples and pumpkins for the Fall. You can add your own recipes in the cooking forum if you care too.
The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry's cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.
-Emily Dickinson-
And -
Come said the wind to the leaves one day,
Come o're the meadows and we will play.
Put on your dresses scarlet and gold,
For summer is gone and the days grow old.
