Remember the decadently delicious chocolate cake I did a year ago. This one is similar, maybe not quite as easy.

Chocolate Decadent Cake

For the cake:

2 cups (12 oz. Pkg) semisweet chocolate chips, divided
¾ cup (1 ½ sticks) butter
¾ cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup flour
¼ cup milk

For the sweetened cream:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 T. powdered sugar
½ tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 9 inch round baking pan with foil. Lightly grease. Microwave 1 cup chips in medium size bowl on high for 1 minute; stir.
Microwave additional 10-20 seconds intervals until smooth. Cool at room temperature. Beat butter and sugar in large mixing bowl until creamy. Add eggs; beat on high for 2 -3 minutes. Beat in melted chocolate. Gradually add flour alternating with milk. Stir in remaining 1 cup chips. Spoon into greased pan. Bake 40-45 minutes until wooden pick comes out slightly sticky. Cool completely in pan on wore rack. Lift cake from pan; remove foil. Top with sweetened cream.
For the Cream: Beat 1 cup cream, powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Spoon over slices of cake. If you have a chocolate sauce, spoon a little over the top. Enjoy!
