Recently we spent a weekend in Kansas City. It is, of course, a city of wonderful places to eat. One of the oldest and most famous is the Bristol, which used to be in the Plaza, but now has moved to the shopping center in Leawood.
They have a wonderful Sunday buffet. One of their famous items is their biscuits and honey butter. Today’s recipe is easy and is a Bristol-like recipe.
Biscuits like the Kansas City Bristol
2 cups of packaged biscuit mix
2 T. sugar
2/3 cup whipping cream
Stir well. Drop by spoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake in 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. (These are very crumbly.)
Honey Butter
1 stick butter softened (I used real butter)
3 T. honey
1/8 tsp cinnamon
Mix well. Serve with warm biscuits. Enjoy!
